Andrew has studied art extensively, completing both a foundation diploma degree and a Bachelors degree in Fine art
After graduating Andrew moved to Leeds to continue to make work and exhibit. He has exhibited extensively around Leeds, but also in London, Newcastle, Loughborough and Leicester.
He completed his MA in creative practice at Leeds Arts University in 2019 and continues to be involved in commissions and projects all around the UK.
Andrew’s subject matter is landscape and the interaction of people and objects within it. His studio practice consists of traditional media and varying approaches to using it. Sales, has always been interested in the materiality of paint through his application to the surface and its fluidity, he likes to experiment with various textures, layers and glazes, which continually develops his practice and approach to image making.
