The Maltings Ely is a landmark victorian brewery building beside the river!
The Maltings Ely, alongside the cathedral, is arguably one of the city’s distinguishing landmarks, set in the beautiful surroundings of Ely riverside, with stunning views over the river Ouse and Marina.
The building was operated by Leith’s (Compass Group) from 2009 until September 2014, when the City of Ely Council obtained the lease from East Cambridgeshire District Council. The Restaurant area was separated from the rest of the building and is now home to Ta Bouche. The Maltings Ely, building itself soon returned to operation as the venue you see today, and continues to grow its activities. As well as weddings, we are able to accommodate a host of different family events, including birthday parties, christenings, and engagements, as well as corporate functions, seasonal parties, charity events, fayres, and anything else you can think of!
Our PopUp painting events at The Maltings are a fun sure way to experience creativity and culture in one exciting event! The Maltings is on two levels with the ground floor being accessible throughout, apart from the stage area located in The Elysian Hall. The second floor is accessible by a platform lift, in the Foyer area. There is also a disabled toilet within the building and Support dogs are welcome in the venue at all times.
