5 Great Valentine’s Day Date Ideas

Don’t panic but Valentine’s Day is exactly one month away! We know that coming up with Great Valentine’s Day date ideas can be a challenge – do you go with something original and quirky, or with a classic? Is dinner enough? Do you do a gift too?! Here are some of our Valentine’s Day date ideas (we may be a bit biased with some…)

1. A sip and paint date with PopUp Painting

Valentine’s is one of those great times of year where we get to get the decorations and the glitter out, and really lean into our theming with our sip and paint events! We have lots in the calendar this February, with Valentine’s events in Sheffield, Manchester, Cambridge, London, Bristol, Birmingham and Liverpool! Check out all of our Valentine’s events here. As ever our events are all about unleashing creativity, wine glass in one hand, paintbrush in the other, no experience needed!

2. Go to see Bridget Jones at the cinema

Hotly anticipated, Bridget Jones is finally back! Based on Helen Fielding’s masterpiece books, the iconic Bridget Jones is synonymous with the awkwardness of dating and relationships – perfect for Valentine’s!

3. A classic Valentine’s dinner

Going for a lovely dinner might not be terribly original, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a great idea! Maybe it’s somewhere you’ve been before and loved, or maybe you’re looking to ‘wow’ with somewhere new. Check out our range of fab partner venues for some dining inspiration here.

4. Make plans for another day

Not everybody can be off for Valentine’s evening, but that doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate love this February! Whether you’re working in hospitality or healthcare, we all deserve some romance. Who can resist a partner who gives you a card and some flowers (I’m a fan of Bloom & Wild, personally) and says “let’s do this on Sunday”? And for those of you with lots to juggle, give the gift of a PopUp Painting gift voucher to book on to a future event when you know what’s happening.

5. A walk down memory lane

Grab a hot chocolate and go for a stroll round the streets you first went out on! You’ll be amazed what memories might come back to you. You can always head out for dinner or something fun afterwards!
